Formula & method

Revenue = monetized impressions × revenue CPM ÷ 1,000

Choose the row for your own observed or explicitly assumed revenue CPM. Then use the column matching monetized impressions, not visits, ad requests or page views. One visitor can generate several ad impressions or none.

A blended rate should come from total revenue and total impressions. If a dashboard already reports publisher-net revenue CPM, do not subtract the network share again. Unfilled inventory, invalid traffic adjustments, ad blockers, consent choices and reporting revisions can change the realized totals.

Worked example

At a hypothetical 0.75 revenue CPM, 240,000 monetized impressions produce 240 × 0.75 = 180.00. Buying 240,000 visits does not establish that the site will generate that many paid impressions.

What can change the answer

All CPM rows are examples, not expected rates for Monetag, a country or a niche. This table does not include traffic-acquisition costs or predict profit.
