Formula & method

Click cost = paid clicks × average CPC
Average CPC = total click cost ÷ paid clicks

Use an average CPC for the click population you intend to model. A maximum bid is a ceiling or bidding input, not necessarily the average amount charged. If the platform bills impressions, use a CPM model rather than assuming every landing-page visit was a paid click.

The table excludes platform fees, taxes, tracking costs and refunds. Add separately documented charges once, using the fee base specified by the provider. Use one currency consistently and align the paid-click count with the cost reporting period.

Worked example

For 7,500 paid clicks at an average 0.08 CPC, the model gives 600.00. If the average rises to 0.10 for the same volume, cost rises to 750.00, a 25% increase.

What can change the answer

The rates are hypothetical and are not suggested bids or industry averages. Paid clicks and measured website sessions may differ because of repeat clicks, loading failures and measurement rules.
